Setting out on adventure always generates a mixture of excitement and apprehension.  Tired of be introduced as Signore Dell’Ario non parle Italiano, I decided that I would combine a long trip with some immersion language training.  Thanks to my friend Joan, I have a base in Umbria with non-English-speaking neighbor. I’ll pretend I’m still an appellate lawyer but I’m really an Italian language and cuisine student for a few weeks.
