Ah, retail therapy. Much better than mowing the lawn. What did you do on your Italian vacation? Waterskied on Lake Como, ran through the Colisseum, fed the pigeons in St. Peter’s Square. No, I mowed the lawn. Are there no hot Signoras to be found?

Hi Chuck,

Well I’m completely jealous. It sounds beautiful. On another note, I went to do the weekly starting of the cars, and the Vette wouldn’t start. Do you want me to get my friend Bill to disconnect the battery? I’m a car starterer failure. My short career has come to an end. Scooter is well and cuddly. He misses you, but he’s glad to be at home and not in some weird cat lodging. He has kneaded my left breast to shreds and continues to be cute beyond words. Ciao.

Thought you’d be interested to know that “sardonic” derives from Sardinia/Sardegna. As for “sardine”…maybe, maybe not.

Good job, Uncle C! I wish I were learning Korean as fast as you’re learning Italian. At least I have the alphabet mostly down, so I can sound out the things I read (yet not understand them) and I usually know when I’m looking at an English word written in Hangul.

I hope you and Dad and Paulette are having a good time. Give them a hug for me!

Charles: Hope you have a wonderful time in Paris. Ask your concierge about the “Yacht des Paris” it sails only at night and last time I check had two michelin stars…….The meal and wine are exquisite while you cruise down the seine for three hours……wish I were there….
